
The Tennessee Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the American Association of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation since 1988. It is our purpose to help Tennessee professionals in teaching patients with cardiovascular & pulmonary rehabilitation, physical medicine and health/wellness.
Our Mission
The mission of TACVPR is to promote advancement of educational programs and services designed to enhance the scope of knowledge for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation professionals, enhance the exchange of information between cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, to provide a unified voice regarding important issues in cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation to the state legislature, commercial insurance carriers and federal government agencies, and to promote, throughout the public sector, an understanding of the nature of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation and to increase awareness of related health care services in the state of Tennessee.
It is our purpose to reduce morbidity, mortality, and disability from cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases through education, prevention, rehabilitation, research, and aggressive disease management.
